STEM UP - innovative teaching methods for the future (Polaris Call)

The Teaching and Learning Center of the University of Turin together with Aforisma Impresa sociale, University of Pisa, CNA Pisa, NetResults srl, and 15 school partners participated in the Polaris Call for Proposals of the Digital Republic Fund. A few days ago the news came that the project was the winner!

The submitted project “STEM UP- innovative teaching methods for the future” lasting a total of 18 months, aims to strengthen the training and orientation towards STEM careers of young students/teens of secondary schools in 3 regions of northern and central Italy (Tuscany, Liguria and Piedmont).

The idea is to offer a correct image of STEM disciplines and help develop skills in these areas, in order to foster informed career and professional choices. Particular emphasis will be given to new technologies, especially generative AI, declined in laboratory form and in the context of environmental sustainability and inclusion.

On the strength of the € 642,915.00 funding, the TLC and other partners will be able to offer training and guidance paths in the schools involved. It will be an opportunity to promote interaction between universities, schools and the local area, providing opportunities for teachers to update and train.
