The Teaching and Learning Center of the University of Turin, together with Aforisma Impresa Sociale, the Museum System of the University of Pisa, CNA Pisa, Kalliope srl, and 15 school partners, participated in the Polaris Call of the Digital Republic Fund.
The project "STEM UP: Innovative Teaching Methods for the Future" has been declared the winner!
The training initiatives will develop over a total of 18 months. The project aims to strengthen the training and orientation towards STEM careers for young students of secondary schools in three regions of northern and central Italy (Tuscany, Liguria, and Piedmont).
The idea is to offer a correct image of STEM disciplines and help develop skills in these areas, to encourage conscious professional and career choices. Particular emphasis will be given to new technologies, especially generative AI, applied in a laboratory setting and in the context of environmental sustainability and inclusion.
With funding of €642,915.00, the TLC and other partners will be able to offer training and orientation courses in the involved schools. It will be an opportunity to promote interaction between universities, schools, and the territory, providing opportunities for updating and training for teachers.

In an increasingly digital world, STEM skills are essential to face the challenges of tomorrow. The STEM UP project, funded by the Digital Republic Fund, brings together academic institutions, schools, and businesses to train young talents with an innovative and practical path.
