The Teaching and Learning Center at UniTo is organizing an international conference aimed at exploring educational innovation from the perspective of Undergraduate Research.
Undergraduate Research (UR) is an innovative educational approach used in university education. It involves a formative experience that includes guided and creative research activities carried out directly by students under the supervision of professors and researchers. UR contributes to the development of transversal skills, promotes the creation of mentoring communities between professors and students, and fosters academic success (Mieg and Deicke, 2022).
Additionally, the conference aims to explore the potential of Research-Based Learning (RBL) and Team-Based Learning (TBL), delving into educational models, implementation strategies, and their impact in university contexts based on the experiences of professors and international experts.

The conference will be held exclusively in person at the Interdepartmental Centre for Molecular Biotechnology “Guido Tarone” (MBC) in Via Nizza 52.
You can register until 5 September, or until all available places are filled.
Participation is free of charge.
Places are limited according to the capacity of the classrooms indicated in the programme.
Who is it for?
The event is open to the entire national and international university community: teaching and research staff, technical-administrative staff and student members.
There is no registration fee.
The event will start at 10:30 a.m. on 11 September and will end on 12 September at 12:30 p.m.

From Turin Caselle Airport (TRN)
Take the Turin Airport–Turin Porta Susa train, operated by Trenitalia (approx. 30–37 min)
From Porta Susa, walk or take the M1 Metro towards Lingotto/Bengasi, get off at the Nizza stop (via Nizza)
From the Nizza metro stop, walk along Via Nizza to number 52 (less than 200 m, ~3 min)
From Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP)
Take the direct Flibco or Arriva Italia bus from Malpensa Terminal 1/2 to Torino Porta Susa (~2h)
From Porta Susa: Take the M1 metro towards Lingotto/Bengasi, get off at Nizza, walk to number 52 (less than 200 m, ~3 min)
From Torino Porta Nuova (Metro)
Take the M1 Metro towards Lingotto/Bengasi from Porta Nuova station.
Get off at Nizza (about 5 minutes).
From there, walk along Via Nizza towards number 52 (less than 200 metres, about 3 minutes).
From Torino Porta Susa (Metro)
Take the Metro M1, direction Lingotto/Bengasi, at Porta Susa station.
Get off at Nizza (about 12 min).
From there, walk along Via Nizza towards number 52 (less than 200 m, ~3 min).
From Torino Lingotto (Bus)
Take bus 18 from the Lingotto Station stop to Donizetti n.787 on Via Nizza (~13 min)
Walk to number 52 (a few minutes).
By car from outside Turin (Lingotto Parking)
Take the M1 metro towards Fermi, get off at Nizza (~8-10 minutes).
From there, walk to Via Nizza 52 (200 m, ~3 minutes).
By car from outside Turin (Fermi Parking)
After parking, take the M1 metro towards Lingotto, get off at Nizza (~16 stops, about 30 minutes)
From there, walk to Via Nizza 52 (200 m, ~3 minutes).
