The University of Turin and the Time2 Foundation are pleased to present the International Conference “On an Equal Basis: Towards a Life Project that Ensures Freedom and Rights for Persons with Disabilities”, which will take place on June 10–11, 2025, in Turin at La Centrale di Nuvola Lavazza (via Ancona, 11/A).
The event will bring together experts and institutional representatives to discuss the importance of the life project from a rights-based perspective, in line with the operational guidelines introduced by Law 227/21, implementing the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities.
The conference will feature two plenary sessions alongside six parallel sessions, which will delve into key topics related to the development of the life project: full social, educational, and employment inclusion; empowerment and self-advocacy; transformation of contexts; and the dimension of power in socio-educational work.
Participation is free of charge, but registration is required via this LINK starting from April 16.
The conference is an extension of the training program for the specialization course in educational support for students with disabilities at the University of Turin.
An application for accreditation for continuing education has been submitted to the National Council of the Order of Social Workers.
