Learning Objectives

  • Understand the characteristics that define effective classroom performance
  • Understand and experience the key factors of effective verbal and non-verbal communication in the classroom
  • Recognize and practice techniques for classroom group management and feedback collection

  • The lecturer’s classroom performance: a self-observation model
  • Best practices in communication and classroom group management
  • Self-observation questionnaire
  • Analysis of individual strengths and areas for improvement
  • Identification of techniques to enhance performance and gather feedback
  • Sharing of best practices

Registration

Registration will open at the end of July via a dedicated form. Opening and closing dates will be announced on this website.
Researchers may participate only after completing the IRIDI Start course.

Activity Format

  1. In-person workshop (3 hours)
  2. Individual online coaching (30 minutes per participant, totaling 15 hours)
  3. In-person follow-up workshop (2 hours)

The program will take place in the first semester between November and December, with a follow-up session in January. Dates will be announced shortly before registration opens.

Delivery Mode

  • In-person: 5 hours
  • Synchronous online: 30 minutes per participant (total of 15 hours)

Duration

  • In-person classroom hours: 5h
  • Individual coaching: 30 minutes per participant (total of 15h)
  • Additional personal commitment: 1–2 hours for active experimentation with suggested techniques

Open Badge

The open badge will be awarded upon completion of the following activities:

  • Participation in the initial in-person session (3 hours)
  • Participation in individual coaching (30 minutes)
  • Participation in the follow-up session (2 hours) or, if absent, submission of a brief report on the performance improvement techniques tested and the results achieved
