International Meeting "TLC and Faculty Development: from planning to evaluation of actions" (Palermo, 13–15 April)

The international meeting will be held in Palermo on 13–14–15 April 2026 “TLC and Faculty Development: from planning to evaluation of actions” and, to follow, the 1st UNiSL National Congress dedicated to Service Learning.
The day of April 15th will be entirely focused on the theme Service Learning and the role of TLC.

We highlight the interventions of the Teaching and Learning Center of the University of Turin in the persons of Emanuela Torre and Barbara Bruschi. The interventions will be dedicated to the development of teaching skills and the role of TLC in innovative learning contexts:

During the round table “The role of TLC in supporting Service Learning” (11.30–13.00) the Turin TLC is scheduled to intervene:

The final day of the UNiSL congress will be dedicated to strengthening the practices of Service Learning as extended and collaborative training environments.

The program includes:

  • 9.30 – 10.00 · Institutional greetings
  • 10.00 – 11.00 · Speaker Yrjö Engeström
  • 11.00 – 11.30 · Coffee breaks
  • 11.30 – 13.00 · Round table on the role of TLC in supporting Service Learning, with intervention by the TLC of Turin (Prof. Bruschi and Prof. Di Masi)

The day will offer a space for national discussion on collaborative practices between universities and the function of TLCs in designing transformative experiences for students and communities.
