The Digital Territories and Communities research group of the Department of Computer Science at the University of Turin - coordinated by Guido Boella - is pleased to invite you to this year's Civic Tech Community Party on Tuesday 28 October from 2pm to 6pm in the Aula Magna of the Cavallerizza Reale.
The aim is to bring together the community of people and organisations that have been collaborating for years on research and action activities involving our civic tech projects FirstLife and CommonsHood, and AI for the near future.

The event will feature presentations on topics related to digital technology as a tool for active citizenship and participation, design for sustainability, and case studies of social innovation.

Guests will include Ezio Manzini, an expert in design for sustainability, representatives of important institutions and foundations, including Con i Bambini and Fondazione Comunitaria di Agrigento e Trapani, and a round table discussion, moderated by Monica Cerutti and Professor Egidio Dansero, dedicated to a comparison of several case studies.

There will also be an opportunity to learn about the results of projects incubated in the two European innovation hubs EDIH: CHEDIH, led by UniTo, and PAI EDIH, of which it is a partner, and to gather interest in the services provided free of charge by the two EDIHs to public administrations and SMEs.

It will therefore be both an educational event and an opportunity to network and celebrate the role of digital technology in civic and social innovation, as well as the first meeting with our entire extended community.

We hope you will accept this invitation.

For organisational reasons, we recommend registering at this link: https://forms.gle/7Gzac4ufPKsQTCiY7.
