From the 10 to 12 July 2026 the Summer School will be held in Bologna "Read, see, think. Educate in comparison with works and languages", aimed at teachers of lower and upper secondary schools. The route, organised by the Teaching and Learning Centre at the University of Turin, lasting a total of 18 hours, will take place at Patriarchal Convent of S. Domenico and includes plenary sessions, disciplinary activities, seminars, workshops and convivial moments.
The initiative is divided into three areas of Letters, History of Art and Philosophy, proposing work on dialogue with works and texts. In History of Art we will cross the "short century" through Duchamp, Rothko and Kiefer; in Literature we will delve into poetry and prose with a focus on skills-based teaching; in Philosophy we will reflect on the essential cores of the discipline, from the sense of history to Kant, Hegel, Nietzsche, up to utopia and social criticism from More to Marcuse. Each area includes laboratory moments, discussion between teachers and experimentation of teaching practices.
The opening of the works is scheduled for Friday 10 July at 5.30pm, with conclusion Sunday 12 July at 1pm.
The Registrations are open until April 7th and can be carried out via the platform SOFIA using the code 103769, or directly on the Diesse registration site:
